For anyone that is reading this: hi. 

This is my first update regarding the Deviants series. This series holds a special place in my heart. I spent five years working on book 1 alongside my PhD program and dissertation. It took a lot of work on my end to get out of the scholarly writing format that I was used to and teach myself creative writing. With any luck, it will not take me as long to write book 2. (It won't. I promise.) 

Admittedly, I have already scrapped a few rough drafts, which is on par for how I write. However, I have a clear goal in mind, an outline, and some much needed time off from one of my jobs coming up. I would have been much further along if I hadn't picked up and moved 1,000 miles away from where I was and I may, or may not have, started a few other projects which has delayed book 2 (just a tiny bit). 

However, I can assure you that Lucy and her collective's story is far from over. I'm also contemplating a novella to follow Death and her collective, perhaps one that centers on Cassie, and another series set in the same universe that shows the magical academy and has crossovers. (Oswin and Cassie are both twins. I wonder what their twins are up to?) 

Unfortunately, I work two jobs and there are not enough hours in the day for me to write as much as I want to. I have many, many ideas but not enough time. Maybe one day I'll be an author full-time, but until that time comes, I'll have to settle for keeping it as a hobby.
